Jan 11 Drivers Meeting
On January 11 there was a drivers meeting held to discuss recent events and changes at Coles County
Dragway USA. This was an invite only meeting in an effort to promote a successful dialogue
between Racers and Management of CCD. There was a diverse group of racers invited in hopes to
encompass most peoples concerns & opinions. Invited was Bob Paul, Walt Edwards, Mark Hopper, Chad Isley, Kevin Hunt, Tracy Parrot, Bubba Long, Tom Harlin, Max Lang, Travis East, Eric Cooper, Kim
Niemeyer, Terry Willard, Randy Protz, Brad Talbert, Jesse Brant, Tim Paap, Travis Buth, Larry Zahnd
and Rosalee Noble.
During the meeting the new Gate Fee/Points Fund was the main topic. It was determined by all,
the Points Fund wasn't something CCD racers felt was needed in 2012, but the "Racer" gate fee will
remain at $5. It will be paid at the tech booth while paying for race entry. See the

Other outcomes from the meeting are the new Q32 330' Open series and Dial for Bucks.
The Q32 330' Open will be a 5 race series open to the fastest 32 PAID entries. Cost will be
$35 and the purse based on 32 cars is as follows: 1st $500, R/Up $300 & Semi-Finalist $100.
Dial for Bucks will be used during 2nd round for most classes. It will be optional at $10 per
person, per class. Winner in each class will have the option of 50% of the money collected or
1st round bye. R/up will get whatever the winner doesn't want. (Posted
