Coles County Dragway Banquet
The annual CCD Banquet is coming up again, it will be on January 24th at the Eagle's club in Mattoon. We will have social hour at 5:00 PM, dinner will be at 6:00 PM, and the awards will be at 7:00 PM. Tickets cab bought at the door for $15 per person, $5 per person 12 and
under. The meal will be ham, chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, noodles, green beans, corn, coleslaw and rolls. There will also be cookies for desert. We look forward to seeing you all there again this year as we announce not only our highlights from 2008, but also look forward to the 2009 racing season.
2008 Winter Challenge Race
We will be having our first annual Winter challenge practice tree race on Saturday January 31st at the Eagle's club in Mattoon. We will be paying $800 to the winner with a 50 entry minimum. Double entries are OK at $25 each, and there will be a buyback for $10. Door prizes throughout the day, a 50/50 raffle, and there will also be a JR dragster practice
tree race also. Burgers, fries and beverages will be available. Doors open at 1:00 PM, with time runs starting at 2:00. $5 admission at the door.

2008 CCD Swap Meet
Don't forget that the Swap meet is coming up in a very short time. The swap will be on Sunday, Feb. 8th at the old Wal-Mart building in Mattoon. Set-up
will be from 3:00-6:00 PM on Saturday. Spaces are 10 x 10 and are $25 each. The Swap meet will open at 8:00 AM on Sunday until 3:00 PM. Outdoor spaces are also available for only $15. 2008 Sportsman Class
Champion
Rob Fisher is the 2008 Sportsman class
champ, repeating his efforts for 2007. He
led from wire to wire, winning the first race of the points season and never giving up the lead the rest of the way. Rob joins a very small list of back-to-back titlists here at CCD, and we congratulate him as well as all of the winners in Sportsman in 2008.

It's that time of year again, time to start the voting for the 2008 season awards to be given out at the banquet in January. All

2008 Hall of Fame Inductees
All of this seasons class winners will get a spot on the Hall of Fame on the back of the bleachers, but we will also be voting 2 members to the club each year. The names so far were gathered by our track statistician as former champions, and
now we are going add names to the wall based on your votes. We are looking for people who have left a mark on Coles County Dragway over the years, either as a racer, fan or sponsor. If you would like to submit someone, you can click on
the link for the 2008 Award winners and there is a line for Hall of Fame candidate.
2008 CCD T-Shirts
The 2008 Coles County Dragway T-Shirts are now available for purchase. They are available in many sizes, and can get them with the logo on the front or back.
